For customers with a single phase 320 amp electric service or less, we install a surge suppressor behind the electric meter. This device minimizes surges that enter through electric lines. The suppressor is leased to the customer for $5.61 + tax (and one time install fee of $34.95 + tax) per month. In addition to the meter base unit, we recommend using internal outlet plug-in protectors for all electronic equipment, telephone or cable lines. We have plug in devices for most applications available for purchase.
