Dear Lakeland Electric,
Thank you to your crew that came to Huntsville, AL to help during the tornado related power outage this past week.
Friday, April 29, my husband and I were traveling from Huntsville to Guntersville to check on another property. I saw what looked like a mile long convoy of Lakeland Utility trucks on the side of Hway 431 coming into Huntsville.
It reminded me of the western movies when you see the Cavalry riding in on the horizon. I even commented to Bob that the “Cavalry” is here.
Again, on Monday morning, on my way into work, Lakeland Utility convoy was on Winchester Road, crossing Hwy 231 North, headed toward Pulaski Pike. Again, I thought the Cavalry is headed to where I live off of Pulaski Pike in the Toney area.
Regardless if it was actually Lakeland that was responsible for our personal power coming on at 1:00 am today, I want to THANK YOU for your help during our time of need.
May God richly bless you and your community for your service.
And then, there was power..........
Forever Thankful,
Patricia F.

Subject: Thank you for coming to our aid.
I just wanted to send a heartfelt thank you for sending crews from Lakeland Electric to our state to help in restoration of power. My home was unaffected by the recent tornadoes (that is not the case for most of the houses in my neighborhood, though) but we were without electricity for 6 days. Your crews worked on our street yesterday in non-stop cold rain to get us back online. Two of your crewmen knocked on our door at 7 p.m. to be sure that our power was working before they left the area to eat dinner. I cannot say enough about their positive attitude and diligent efforts to help in the midst of this utter devastation. Please know that we appreciate your "Good Samaritan" response to this tragedy. Mere words cannot express the magnitude of this tragic disaster and the outpouring of kindness and generosity we have experienced. Sincerely,
--

Subject: Crews in Huntsville, AL
This morning as I was driving to work and stopped at a functioning traffic light I saw Lakeland Electric utility trucks.
I just wanted to say thank you for all the long hours and hard work performed by your employees coming to aid us in restoring power to our community.
I am familiar with Lakeland after visiting the Sun N Fun airshow as an exhibitor.
So, please make sure you let your employees know that their efforts were greatly appreciated even if we can’t thank them personally!
Sincerely,
Kind Regards,
Kim G.

Bob,
I visited you in Lakeland a few years ago to demonstrate GTViewer. For the last two and a half years I’ve been working at Huntsville Utilities. We had a massive power outage caused by tornados last week, and I have a picture of crews from Lakeland that came up here to help us get back on line.
Please thank these guys for all us folks here in Madison county. I hope they had a safe trip with only minor adventures.

Subject: Thank you for Assistance in Harvest, AL
My family and I want to thank your group for their assistance on Wall Triana Hwy. in Harvest, Al during the aftermath of the tornado. We own three homes that were damaged or destroyed. The sight of your group setting poles and running wire was so uplifting. We knew that things would be better if we could just get power restored. Each day continues to be better and while we will never forget this catastrophic event, the support we received from your group and other volunteers will remain as a reminder of the good that still exists when it is needed most.
Heartfelt thanks again!
