Alan Shaffer Named Interim Head of Lakeland Electric © The Ledger  

Alan Shaffer, assistant general manager of delivery for Lakeland Electric, will serve as interim general manager of the utility after Jim Stanfield retires March 30. Shaffer, 55, was promoted to deputy general manager by City Manager Doug Thomas. Shaffer has worked at the utility for 33 years.
