Official Emergency Broadcasting Radio Stations

Under storm/emergency conditions, most radio stations will be broadcasting special public service announcements in order to keep the public updated on severe weather, shelter information, power outages, etc. Here in Lakeland, WONN 1230 AM and WPCV 97.5 FM have been designated as the primary emergency broadcast system stations for Polk County. Lakeland Electric will do its best to keep these stations and the others informed on the most up-to-date news regarding power outages. Please do NOT call these stations to report outages or ask for utility status information!
