Stop Service
How To Get Service Disconnected
To stop service at your current location, contact Customer Service at (863) 834-9535, or use the online form below. If you do not receive this confirmation within 2 business days, please contact Lakeland Electric immediately. This may be an indication your email was rejected. You will need Adobe® Acrobat® in order to use the form.
Residential Service Disconnect Form

Tell Customer Service the date when you want your service disconnected. There is no charge to disconnect your service, but it must be scheduled at least 2-3 business days in advance. Same day service is not available. Once your service is disconnected, we’ll apply any deposit to your final bill and refund any credit balance.

Seasonal Residents
If you are a seasonal resident and plan to be away for an extended period of time, you have several options.
1. Leave your electric service on while you’re away, but turn off the main breakers. We will charge you the minimum monthly charge for electricity and water, plus any utility-related service charges. You will also receive a minimum monthly wastewater and solid waste charge. You don’t need to contact us for this option as long as we have your mailing address.

2. Call us to have your electric service temporarily stopped. Upon your return, you will be charged a $10 re-connection charge. Customers gone three months or more often prefer this option.

When you request temporary disconnection of electric services, solid waste services will be stopped as well.

When you want service reconnected, call or mail your request to Customer Service at least two weeks in advance.
